How many serves of vegetables do you eat on a typical day?

As a guide, a standard serve of vegetables is about 75 g (100–350 kJ) or:

  • Half a cup of green and orange vegetables

    cooked green or orange vegetables

  • Half a cup of beans

    cooked dried or canned beans, peas or lentils

  • One cup of leafy vegetables

    green leafy or raw salad vegetables

  • Half of a potato

    potato or other starchy vegetables (e.g. sweet potato, taro)
